Updating MagicAI is pretty easy.
- Note: If you are using a version older than 8.8, you must upgrade incrementally, one version at a time, until you reach the latest version.
- The new update system intelligently compares versions and updates only the necessary files—unless they’ve been modified in the latest version.
Automatic Update
Simply go to the update page in the admin panel. The system will check for updates and notify you if there is an update available.
After clicking the Update button, the system will run a requirements check to verify that your environment meets all necessary prerequisites. Any errors encountered during this process will be clearly displayed.
Once the requirements check is complete, you can proceed to create a backup.
Once the backup is complete, click to download the new version.
Once the version is downloaded, click the Upgrade button to proceed with the upgrade to the next version.
A success message will appear once the upgrade is completed successfully.
Manual Update
Check your version from the footer of the dashboard. Compare the version number with the latest release.
- Create a backup of all your files and database.
- Download the latest MagicAI package from CodeCanyon.
- Unzip the zip package you downloaded and navigate to the Update folder.
- Upload the update file in the folder to the root directory of the project.​
- Extract the zip file into the root folder of your site/project.
- To start updating MagicAI, visit
https://yourdomain.com/update-manual - MagicAI will be automatically updated when you visit the page.
- Then visit the following URLS:
